NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde's Sexual Health Website

Sandyford Central is based at 2/6 Sandyford Place, Sauchiehall St, Glasgow, G3 7NB. Tel: 0141 211 8130.  Our most popular service is the Walk-In clinics as you don't need to have an appointment.

However this clinic is busy and you may have a long wait for the walk-in service. If you feel your condition is not urgent, appointments are available via the Sandyford switchboard on the above number. Routine contraception and smear testing are available via your GP or practice nurse.

Ever wondered how many units of alcohol you drink or how many calories are in your favourite tipple? Are you concerned it may be an issue? Use our Alcolator to calculate how many units you drink, then use the Alco-check to see whether its a safe amount or not. If you're worried about your score, free confidential Alcohol Brief Interventions are available at Sandyford Central.

From 8 June onwards, please call us first, if at all possible, before coming in to Sandyford Central. We will set up a dedicated phone line which will be avalible soon.

You will speak to a nurse who will direct you to the appropriate service and make an appointment for you if needed.

Please read further information on the new way if you do walk in.

Every day in the UK 9 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer and 3 women will lose their lives to the disease. Cervical cancer is largely preventable thanks to cervical screening and the HPV vaccination programme. However uptake of cervical screening is now going down year on year. Early detection is also key in increasing survival rates and so educating everyone on the disease, its symptoms and ways to prevent it is key. Cervical Cancer Prevention Week provides us with an opportunity to do just that. Check out our info pages (complete with downloadable leaflets) on Cervical Screening to help you get informed. Everyone's invited, so contact your local GP to book your smear test!

Did you know you can pick up Free Condoms at a variety of locations throughout the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde area? A wide range of condoms are available FREE!! You don't need to register to use this service or provide any personal details. For more information on the service and the types of condoms available take a look at the free condoms website .
