Sandyford provides Coils and Implants along with a range of other contraception.
Booking an Appointment at Sandyford
All of our contraception appointments are available to book online. Appointments are usually added on a weekly basis. Checking back regularly means you will be more likely to find suitable appointments as they become available.
If you do not have access to online booking you can call 01412118130.
Only patients who live within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde area and in G69 & G33 (due to a health board agreement) can be seen at Sandyford for contraception (coils/implants/pills).
Where else can I get contraception
Many GP practices and local chemists offer some contraception services.
To help more people access contraception more easily, you can now get an initial 3-month supply of the progestogen-only pill as well as emergency contraception at chemists in Scotland. Read further information on NHS Inform.
Free Condoms are also available in over 300 outlets across Glasgow and Clyde. You do not need an appointment. Have a look at the Find an Outlet page to find the best place for you.
What contraception is right for me?
If you have given birth or had an abortion within the last year, are a young person (under 18) or feel in any way vulnerable, please call on 01412118130 to discuss your options.

If you choose to have a coil or implant inserted, you may be able to get these in your GP practice. If not, appointments can be booked online.
If you choose a contraception tablet or injection, this will be available at your GP practice or by making an appointment with a nurse at Sandyford online.
