Do I Need to Come to a Service

Whilst it is best to plan and be prepared for sexual activity, many people find there are times or circumstances that this does not always happen. If you have been at risk of a Sexually Transmitted Infection, HIV, or an unplanned pregnancy by having sexual intercourse without contraception or protection, you should attend a sexual health clinic for a sexual health check up. It may be that you have had a different type of sexual experience which is new to you, or you might not be able to remember what has happened or only have a vague memory of having sex, or maybe you didn’t use a condom or it broke during sex. Whatever your situation, please give us a call for advice and information.

Sometimes you may be unsure what you need. Sexual Health Advisers are available for individual, confidential discussion.

You can book, cancel or reschedule appointments at our clinics using our online booking system.

Online booking is currently available for sexual health testing and contraception services only. As the system is further developed we will make more of our services available to book online.

If you do not want to book online, or the type of appointment you are looking for is not yet available for online booking please call us on 0141 211 8130. The phone line is open Mondays to Fridays from 8.30am - 4.15pm, except public holidays. Our phones are busiest in the morning. If you can’t get through when you first call please try again later.

When you call for an appointment our operators can put you through to an experienced sexual health nurse, if necessary. The nurse will ask a few questions to find out the type of service you require and discuss the various options with you.
