The Place is the name of the special sexual health services run
just for young people aged up to 18. The Place is where sexual
health services are provided to all people but only young people
can use the service during the times The Place is running.
Therefore you are not likely to meet any adults you might be
worried about seeing when you come to the service.
The Place offers a full range of sexual health and relationships
services, treatment, advice and information. The Place provides
regular ongoing contraception and emergency contraception, free
condoms, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections,
pregnancy testing, advice and counselling around pregnancy choices
and quick access for termination of pregnancy if that is your
choice. The Place also provides counselling and support for a range
of issues.
There is a drug & alcohol support worker, Tricia
(0141 232 8447) who can offer support if you are worried
about your own drinking or someone close to you who is drinking too
much. Use the Alcolator to calculate how
many units you drink, then take our survey to see if you would
benefit from some tips on sensible drinking. You can also
