What Are My Choices

If you are pregnant then you have three choices.

These are:

• To continue with the pregnancy and raise the baby

• To ask for a termination of pregnancy (abortion) to end the pregnancy

• To continue with the pregnancy and have the baby adopted

You will probably have lots of different feelings and you might change your mind before making your final decision. What is important is that you think about things carefully and make the choice that is right for you.

How do I decide?

Deciding what to do may be a very difficult thing to do.

But it is important to remember that you don't have to go through it alone. Although no-one can tell you what to do, there are a number of people that can help and support you in making the choice you feel is right for you.

Whatever you choose to do or wherever you go for information/support, it is important that you do it quickly.

Don't be afraid to ask questions. It is important to think through your options carefully and talk about them with someone. Don't let others push you into a decision you are not ready to make or that goes against your wishes. No one choice is right or wrong. Make sure that the decision you come to is your decision and that you feel okay about the choice you have made.
