| The Place is somewhere you can come whether you want to pick up free condoms, or just have a private chat with a friendly health advisor or counsellor about anything to do with sex or relationships or things you might be worried about. This service is aimed at young people up to the age of 17. |

| You can get pregnancy testing, contraception to suit you, emergency contraception as soon as possible after unprotected sex, and testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections. You could just drop in for a flick through magazines, or information leaflets over a can of ginger. Although the Place is located within The Sandyford Initiative, we realise that not all young people will be able to get to it easily. Therefore we are currently starting to plan locally based satellite versions of the Place. Keep checking this website for details of these local services and we'll update you about where and when they will be. Meanwhile, if you need to see someone about a sexual health matter in an emergency and you cannot get to the Place, you can contact your own GP in confidence or Accident and Emergency at your local hospital. The Place is for all young people to use. It's for both girls and boys , people who are white, black, European or Asian. It's for people who are straight, lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgendered. It's for people who are having sex, are not having sex, are in relationships, are not in relationships. It's for people who are non disabled, are disabled or have learning disabilities, have sensory impairments, or deaf or hard of hearing young people who will have to fax us if we will need an interpreter. Living at home, or in care or homeless, it's for you. PS: you can bring your partner or friends or anyone you like. |
