Sometimes people think that girls find it easy to take responsibility for sex and relationships and all the feelings and practical stuff that goes with that. We see on the telly and read in magazines a lot about sex. How to have it, how to do it better, even how to ditch your other half without a fuss! What with "position of the fortnight" and "how to achieve better orgasm" articles, it seems there is a lot of pressure for young women to be having sex. Having sex is great if you are feeling ready for it. However, it's also good to talk over what you want from a relationship and if you feel ready to have sex and what you can do to have safer sex.

At the Place we're here to talk to you about sex and relationships and what your options are. We also offer advice about relationships we have free and easy access to the right kind of contraception for you, pregnancy testing and support and emergency contraception.

If you're worried about having picked up a sexually transmitted infection (STI) we can check it out and treat it for you. Some women don't show any signs of having of having an STI even though they have got one! So we recommend that you come and get a regular 6 monthly MOT to check everything is ok.
