If you are a gay or bisexual man you have a higher risk of
contracting STIs including HIV, Hepatitis A and B, Syphilis and
Gonorrhoea, especially if you are taking part in unprotected anal
intercourse.
The best way to protect yourself against these infections and
others is to wear a condom and use plenty of lube if you have anal
intercourse.
At Sandyford we strongly recommend that gay and bisexual men
come to one of our clinics for a sexual health check up. Perhaps
you might want to come to the gay and bisexual men's clinic called
the Steve
Retson Project and have a check up and have any questions
answered.
