Healthy Relationships

Relationships can be very rewarding when they go well. Positive relationships nourish us emotionally and help us feel connected to and make sense of the world around us.

All relationships need to be worked at to make them a success, whether with partners, friends or other loved ones, some give and take and effort is required to maintain them so that they stay healthy and fulfilling.

When relationships go through challenging times, particularly when the intensity of the initial thrill starts to cool, a degree of negotiating and compromise is usually required. Communication is really important for healthy relationships and it's often poor communication that makes things go wrong.
