Base 75 ~
Base 75 is an integral part of Sandyford Initiative. It is a satellite clinic which runs in conjunction with Sandyford and the Glasgow Routes out of Prostitution network.

Base 75 is jointly funded by both the Glasgow Health Board and Glasgow City Council. It consists of a full clinical service running jointly with social work at each session.

Base 75 is for women involved with prostitution only.

The Clinical service runs on six nights a week – Monday to Friday 7.30 – 11.30pm, Sunday 7.30 – 10.00pm. Wednesday morning 10-12.00.

There are two clinical rooms staffed by a Dr/Nurse or Nurse/Nurse team at every session.

Services provided in the clinical room are wide ranging and encompass sexual and reproductive health, general and acute medical problems particularly related to drug use.

Sexual Health Screens and smears tests
Dressing for abscesses
Medication for primary care conditions
Needle exchange
Condom provision

Hepatitis vaccine

These are all available on site.

The daytime clinic on a Wednesday is particularly suitable for indoor sex workers, however any Base 75 clients are welcome to attend this session. HIV and hepatitis counselling and testing can be done at this session.
