Principle 1: To embody a social model of health that accounts for all the health determinants that can affect individuals and communities (communities of interest and geographical communities) in the delivery of care and service
Principle 2: To provide an effective and co- ordinated service that integrates clinical and non-clinical work
Principle 3: To carry out ongoing consultations with current and potential service users to ensure the planning and delivery of equitable and accessible service
Principle 4: To recognise and actively address the needs of different population groups
Principle 5: To be gender-sensitive and anti- discriminatory in work and practice
Principle 6: To be pro-active in informing policy development in other agencies to promote reproductive health, sexual health and emotional health, gender-sensitive health care and the social model of health.
