To recognise and actively address the needs of different population groups.

Providing services for gay and bisexual men:

Many core Sandyford services are used by gay men, but the specialist service, the Steve Retson Project, (SRP), provides an alternative a venue exclusively for gay men and men who have sex with men. The project developed through an identified need to address health issues and provides sexual health and support services from the Sandyford building and Glasgow’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered (LGBT) Centre.  It offers testing and treatment, counselling, same-day HIV testing and results, free condoms and lubricants, advice and information on all sexual health issues and its new team of peer educators publicises the service throughout Glasgow’s gay scene.

Users Comments:

“Host helpers, nurse and doctors most helpful.”
