Principle Two ~
To provide and effective and co-ordinated service that integrates clinical and non-clinical work.

Community based services:

Sandyford provides a range of reproductive and sexual health care services throughout Glasgow in 28 community settings. This allows people to access services in their local health centre and be sure of a confidential and comprehensive service. Referrals can then be made to the main Sandyford site for specialist services if required.

Service users are welcomed into settings where a social model of health is paramount and full information is provided at all times concerning choices and services available. Tea and coffee is offered to clients in most of our community sites, and in many of them health promotion videos are shown within comfortable waiting areas.

Sandyford also provides specialist services in a range of non-traditional sites including Base 75 - for women involved in prostitution (with Glasgow City Council Social Work Department), Boots the Chemists - for young people and at the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Centre at St Enoch’s - for gay men.
