To provide an effective and co-ordinated service that integrates clinical and non-clinical work.

The Place: Young People's Service:

The Place provides a holistic, one-stop resource for young people that empowers them to make informed choices for their own health and wellbeing. Services at the Place, including information and support, counselling, clinical services and group work, are provided by staff from the Sandyford Initiative and Glasgow City Council’s Community Education department. The Sandyford building at times convenient to school students and those in higher education. Outreach work within community-based settings in Glasgow is also linked to the Place.

The Place staff are involved in a wide range of strategic and operational partnerships across the city that involve statutory and voluntary organisations. The popular inreach visit programme to the service also provides an opportunity for other services to see a holistic young people’s service in action.
