In late 2016, clients of Sandyford sexual health services, partner agencies and the wider public were given an opportunity to provide feedback on the future priorities for sexual health throughout Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
The 12 week public consultation on the draft Sexual Health Strategic Plan 2016-19, was launched in September 2016 until November 2016.
Following the consultation 265 responses were received, including completed online consultation questionnaires, written submissions and responses from focus groups.
Key themes, drawn from feedback and comments to the consultation, have been developed and will used to inform the final version of the strategy before it moves forward to implementation.
Rhoda MacLeod, Head of NHSGGC’s Sexual Health Services, said: “We would like to thank everyone who took time to give feedback on our draft Sexual Health Strategic Plan and we will take on board the comments that have been provided. We plan to have our final draft ready in March 2017, following which we will seek final approval”.
Sandyford will soon be publishing anonymised, verbatim comments received through the public consultation on its website.
