The walk-in is our most popular service.

Sandyford provides a quality-assured sexual health service across the whole of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde from our main base at Sandyford Central and 17 local Sandyford hub and satellite clinics. Sandyford services can provide you with all the information and help you need when it comes to sexual, reproductive and emotional health, including:

and also:

  • Testing and treatment for HIV and Sexually Transmitted Infections
  • Contraception including same-day Implanon, and copper and hormonal coil fitting
  • Specialist consultant clinics for gynaecology  and genitourinary medicine
  • Sexual problems service including erectile dysfunction and gender identity clinic
  • Hepatitis B vaccination
  • Health and wellbeing information at the Sandyford Library

All sites share the same electronic record system and protocols so you can make use of the service wherever you feel comfortable. All services are free, including your prescription if needed.

Our services are largely walk-in and sometimes demand is greater than the capacity of staff to see everyone.   We will try to let people know how long they are likely to wait.   Some services may stop taking new clients earlier than the advertised finish times, and you may be asked to return on another day.   If this is the case, we will let you know if another Sandyford service can meet your needs.   Such as our Appointment clinics that offer a wide range of sexual and reproductive health services, or Specialist clinics for those other services which are more specialised for example, gynaecology and colpscopy.  Some of these clients will operate as a self-referral clinic and others may require a referral from another provider like your GP. Please call the number provided for further details.

If you think your problem is urgent, please ask to speak with a member of clinical staff.

Sandyford aims to offer you a full range of services when you attend. There may be instances where this may not be possible, for example if you attend with children. We do not have crèche facilities and staff members cannot be responsible for your child or children. If you require a procedure where children are present you may be asked to return on another day once you have made arrangements for them to be supervised.
