If you are a member of the public you can help us by
not using this number for making appointments or other enquiries,
as it has been designed to assist health professionals who need
advice rapidly.
A dedicated direct telephone helpline to
respond to questions from health professionals has been available
since the Sandyford was launched in 2000. It was developed in
response to requests form GPs who wished to discuss care and to be
able to get through quickly in case the main telephone lines used
by the public were engaged.
It provides a way for colleagues to
speak to specialist
staff without blocking the public main switchboard themselves.
The professional helpline 0141 211 8646 is
available Monday to Friday,
9.00 -12.30 and 1.00 - 4.30 pm.
Calls are answered by an experienced sexual health nurse.
In addition to their own expertise they have access to medical
staff including Consultant staff within Sandyford
All professionals, including non-clinical staff are welcome to
call the helpline for advice on the management of sexual and
reproductive health.
